Train an expert, protect a nation
We specialise in providing structured and tailored training solutions for Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Improvised Explosive Device Disposal (IEDD). This training provides skills up to the highest levels of national contingency operations, raising capability and resilience for national C-IED operational response.
Understanding your C-IED needs
Explosives are a useful tool, used legally for quarrying, mining, road-building or within military munitions. They are also used illegally by insurgents and terrorists.
National capabilities to deal with such threats must be balanced against the perceived threat: as a minimum, all nations must have ammunition and explosive specialists to help manage risks from the legal storage, transportation and use of explosives. They must also be able to deal with pyrotechnic misuse or an explosive accident; as the perceived risk gets higher, capabilities must increase to deal with incidents that are low probability but have a high national impact and affect public safety.
Whatever the level, each requires its own investment in time, personnel, experience and resources. We understand this commitment and can help your specialists match their capabilities to meet your threat.
Progressive career development
Our training approach is one of continual professional development. We provide a structured progressive training solution which can be followed throughout an operator’s career. We start with core foundation knowledge and end with high-end capability. We expect operators will also gain ‘on the job’ experience between each step to consolidate the skills learned.
We understand that training needs to become increasingly challenging so that operators can deal with the extremes they may face in the field. Not everyone has this aptitude, but we provide continued professional development courses (CPD) along the way to ensure those that do, can go on to significantly enhance the national capability.
Flexible training
Recognising that each nation is different, with varying capability needs, our progressive training is flexible to allow experienced operators to jump in and out at different levels, depending on their ability and requirements in response to the threat. To do so, operators must demonstrate a recognised IEDD qualification or operational experience to allow us to identify which courses are appropriate. Professional development courses are open to any operator who has a basic IEDD qualification or demonstrable experience.
